MY HEAVY SOUL is Mal Fantôme’s new single. The song is featuring Bruce Kaphan on lap steel guitar, a long time hero to the band – we’re all American Music Club, R.E.M. and Red Hot Painters fans. Having him to play on MY HEAVY SOUL is a very special treat to us.

The song’s chorus refers to Dr. Macdougall’s studies on the weight of the soul : “I think Macdougall was wrong, cause twenty one grams seems so little for my heavy, heavy soul”.

MY HEAVY SOUL was recorded in Quebec city, Montréal and Fremont, California. The single is produced by Mal Fantôme and Mathieu Dandurand.
